Issues Eased by Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup can be useful for women who wish to wear makeup, but cannot apply it easily. There are many reasons that this might be the case, and permanent makeup might be right for you or someone you love.

Allergies
Some people find that they have allergies that keep them from being able to use makeup. Studies suggest that up to 10% of the population will have some type of reaction to a cosmetic over the course of a lifetime. Certain ingredients used in cosmetics, such as fragrances and preservatives, can act as antigens, substances that trigger an allergic reaction. In some cases, a person can develop an allergic sensitivity to a product after years of use.

Vision Related Issues
Women who wear contact lenses, may have repeated problems with irritation and infection.  Those with more severe vision deficits may find that magnified mirrors and intense lighting can only do so much. In such cases, permanent eye makeup can make life a lot easier.

Challenges with Precise Movements
For women who suffer from tremors, or have other restrictions on the precise movements of their fingers and hands from arthritis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other conditions, it can be nearly impossible to apply makeup well. Permanent makeup may give them a way to feel better about themselves despite the challenges they’re facing, offering a welcome boost to their morale.

Permanently Camouflage Abdominal Scars

Women who have had abdominal operations, such as a cesarean-section or tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) may still feel self-conscious about the scars, especially when they want to put on a bikini, wear low-rise pants or flaunt some flattering lingerie.

Recently, products have been made available to temporarily conceal the scars with something like a decorative adhesive strip. But the adhesive remains on the skin and must be removed, and may draw more attention to the area, rather than minimizing it.

Instead, women can have the scars permanently camouflaged with paramedical micropigmentation, also known as paramedical cosmetic tattooing.

Micropigmentation’s ability to break up the scar tissue means it can be colored to better match your natural skin tone. The results are certain to build self-confidence.

Melany Whitney is a Certified Advanced Paramedical Professional Health Care Provider. Her paramedical training in dermal camouflage has gained her the clinical competency and expertise necessary to perform dermal camouflage for all types of scars and burns, cleft palate corrections, and areola and nipple repigmentation. And if they trust her, so can you.

On Colorful Lips

Coloring our lips has been with us since ancient history. Anyone who has ever worn it has surely noticed how the right color instantly adds vibrancy to the entire face, bringing the color out in the cheeks and creating contrast to the eyes. But lipstick has its drawbacks.

It can come off on the teeth, or on the faces (or collars, as the song tells us) of those we love. In moments of haste, we may find our lipstick smeared on a shirt we’ve tried on, or on a towel at a friend’s house after a quick face wash. We know how difficult it can be to get those kinds of stains out.

Permanent Lip Color applies micropigmentation, or color, into the skin. You wake up with colorful lips and find that none of it is smeared across your pillowcase. Irregular lip shapes can be permanent redrawn and colored in, too. Melany Whitney is a world-class Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional and expert in this field, and uses only the best color to suit your skin tone, and applies it safely.

A testimonial from a client of Melany Whitney’s said “I can smooch my grand kids to my heart’s content, and not give them the dreaded ‘lipstick cheeks.’”

Consider permanent lip color as a way to save on stain remover, at the makeup counter and to look great all the time!

Facial Tattooing

When people hear the words “facial tattoos” they probably get an image in their head of tribal markings, like those of the Maori people of New Zealand.  For them, facial tattoos were a way of identifying between families, classes and other tribes. Known as “moko” tattoos, they were such a symbol of a person’s identity that they were used as their signatures on documents in the 1800’s when European settlers arrived.  Their technique involved a small chisel and hammer to tap the design onto the face, and caterpillar-ink poured into the fresh wounds. The skin would heal with the tattoos raised, which is thought to have been because of some chemical or bacteria from the caterpillar.

For us, our faces identify us. We use photo identification to verify that we are who we say we are, and celebrities build their reputations upon their faces. We can use cosmetic facial tattooing to enhance our appearance too. Our reasons may be to bring out our characteristic features or to make sure we always look our best, whether just out of the swimming pool or just out of bed. But lucky for us, the process involved with permanent makeup is much more gentle and hygienic than it was so many years ago.  With an entire spectrum of colors to choose from, your expert Board Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional, Melany Whitney will make sure that your permanent makeup will be permanently beautiful, natural-looking, and beauty enhancing.

Eyebrows for Alopecia

Alopecia areata is a hair loss disease in which hair follicles are mistakenly attacked by a person’s own immune system. Usually it starts with one or more small, round, smooth bald patches on the scalp and can progress to total scalp hair loss (alopecia totalis) or complete body hair loss (alopecia universalis).

For men and women who have lost their eyebrows, permanent makeup can offer the chance to reclaim some of their facial expression, without worrying about makeup that might come off with sweat, or during sports.  Men especially might feel uncomfortable wearing makeup, but with micropigmentation chosen by a professional to complement the natural skin tone, there will be no reason to worry about smearing or smudging.

One person shared her permanent makeup testimonial

“One of my greatest pleasures occurs while showering! I look into the fogless mirror my husband uses for shaving, and see… EYEBROWS! I had been very sensitive of the sparsity of my brows prior to Melany’s ‘replacing’ them. I also enjoy not having to ‘remove’ my eyebrows when I retire.”

Take a moment to see some examples of Melany Whitney’s Permanent Cosmetics Solutions For Alopecia.  You’ll notice that the eyebrow color is darker immediately after the procedure, but there is no down time, and the color fades in about 5 days!

Permanent Eyeliner and Permanent Eye Shadow Procedure

Not at all–-it will just look like you’re wearing makeup. Initially, the color will be stronger, but after two to three weeks of healing time, your new permanent makeup will soften to a natural-looking, beautiful color. Actually, because of the time and attention paid to choosing the perfect color to suit your natural skin tone, it may end up looking more natural than makeup. Here are a few Permanent Makeup testimonials from expert Board Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional Melany Whitney‘s customers :

“The time I spent prior to my decision to have permanent makeup was just as important as the time I spent with them during my magical visits. Melany is truly a skillfully gifted artist. Her work is subtle perfection. My friends still haven’t figured out why I look so wonderful!”

“I love my eyebrows! I was so impressed that Melany took so much time ‘planning’ them before she started the work. She’s truly a real pro.”

“I look alert as soon as I wake up because of the lovely eyeliner. I have to admit I was having second thoughts about the eyebrow treatments. After the healing and ‘curing’ time though, they just look so elegant.”

Permanent Makeup Gives Hope to Iraqi Burn Victim

In 2003, 15-year old Hannan was horribly burned in her home in Iraq when, according to her family, an American bomb landed near enough to her home to knock a lit oil lamp onto her bed. After the third-degree burns over 20 per cent of her body were treated by American Medics, it was believed her life was in danger, and she was forced to flee the country. Now she lives in Scotland, and at the age of 21 has undergone several operations to rebuild her ears, nose, lips and cheeks.

The owner of a permanent makeup company in London was so moved after hearing her story that she decided to offer Hannan free lifetime services–including using micropigmentation to enhance her eyebrows and lashes and define her lips, offering hope without facing the pain of undergoing another surgery.

Melany Whitney offers the very same hope for anyone who struggles with scars from burns, injuries or surgeries. Paramedical cosmetic tattooing allows her to camouflage the area because micropigmentation breaks up scar tissue and colors it to better match the skin’s natural tone. Because of her expertise in this area, Melany routinely receives referrals from prominent plastic surgeons and physicians who understand the lasting effects of scar tissue and want to offer their patients the best possible care.
