In recent years international superstar Angelina Jolie has become known as a mother, a humanitarian, and as a beauty icon. Unlike many actresses and other celebrities, Jolie’s go-to makeup look has changed very little from season to season over the past decade. Instead Jolie has adopted a very classic palette when it comes to her makeup. The classic look in general as well as Jolie’s look is coveted by women around the world. Fortunately, you can get the look using a few simple makeup techniques on lips and eyes.
For eyes like Angelina Jolie’s, apply in a thick line to your upper eyelids then smudge the outer corners for a smoky effect. Apply a thinner line to lower yelids. Finish the look with a white shadow to the top of your lids and finish with two coats of black mascara. To get these beautiful eyes permanently, consult with an expert permanent makeup artist.
Jolie is known for her full and perfect pout. Not all women are born with lips as full as that of the actress but with the help of cosmetics, you can get your own
gorgeous version of the look. You’ll need both lip liner and lip color cream or lipstick for the look. Outline lips in a classic nude or neutral to create the look of larger lips and then fill in with a classic tone of red or chestnut. Like Angelina, you can get the look of classic beauty everyday by having permanent lip color applied.

The age old question, “How can I keep my Mascara from Streaking and Smudging?” was recently presented by one reader on the popular bridal website theknot.com. The Knot had many great realistic suggestions on how to keep mascara from smudging during your wedding day (and any other day from that matter.)
Firstly, use waterproof mascara…cautiously. We say “cautiously,” because as The Knot authors noted, no regular mascara is entirely smudge proof. Even though you’re wearing smudge proof mascara, you’ll need to be careful about the way you’re crying on your special day. Their professional makeup artist tip? “Always allow tears to roll out from the inner corner of your eyes and onto your cheeks prior to blotting.”
The Knot’s tips are great and we, at The Whitney Center for Permanent Cosmetics, would like to add one more! There is actually one type of makeup that is indeed smudge proof – permanent cosmetics by expert artist Melany Whitney! Permanent eyeliner, brows, and even permanent lash enhancement are all smudge and smear proof techniques that will make your eyes pop on your wedding day or any day. You will not need to worry about the way you let your tears roll with permanent cosmetics! That is certainly a plus! Each year, women from all over the world go to New York, New Jersey, and Florida to visit Melany in one of her permanent cosmetics offices for help with wedding day makeup. Schedule your own consultation with Melany today.

In the beauty profession there are always horror stories floating around. The inexpert haircut that practically scalped the client. The Botox injections that turned a face into a frozen mask. The permanent makeup job that disfigured the client’s face. Recovery from a botched haircut is merely a matter of time. A bad Botox job will, hopefully, self-correct when the effects of the filler dissipate. But poorly done permanent makeup is forever.
People whose appearance has been damaged by an inadequately trained, inexperienced or artistically-inept permanent makeup technician turn to Melany Whitney in the hope that she will be able to undo the damage and make them feel beautiful again. To these people, Melany is a savior. Nationally known as “the voice of permanent makeup,” Melany has the well-honed technical skills, broad experience, and artistic talent to correct flaws made by others and create beauty.
An innovator in the field of paramedical tattooing, Melany regularly works with plastic surgeons to hide scars and improve the appearance of facial features. When Dr. Mehmet Oz offered to restore the looks of a woman tragically disfigured in a car accident, he called upon Melany to hide scars and redefine the woman’s facial features. In a post-treatment appearance on the Dr. Oz Show, the woman tearfully told Melany and the audience that it was the first time she had felt beautiful since the accident.
If you’re considering permanent makeup, place your face in the hands of someone you can trust to achieve the beautiful results you desire.

It’s surprising what a difference in our appearance our eyebrows make. That arch of hair over each eye frames and defines our face. Perhaps our most expressive facial feature, we use our eyebrows to express delight, anger, surprise and thoughtfulness. Our eyebrows make us look human. Without eyebrows we look vaguely robotic and incomplete.
Believed to be an autoimmune disorder, Alopecia Areata Universalis causes rapid loss of all facial and body hair. It can strike at any age, including early childhood, leaving alopecia sufferers feeling self-conscious and extremely uncomfortable about their appearance. Some sufferers of the disorder say the stares and rude comments of strangers can make them feel freakish about their appearance and reluctant to participate in social activities.
Many alopecia sufferers have found relief from their condition in paramedical tattooing. Using precision paramedical tattoo techniques, expert permanent makeup artists like Melany Whitney are able to create natural-looking permanent eyebrows where none existed. To help alopecia sufferers reclaim their natural beauty, Melany combines expert technical skill with her talent as a professional artist to tattoo individual eyebrow “hairs” above the eye sockets, creating perfectly-shaped eyebrows that look three-dimensional and completely natural.

So subtle no one knows it’s there, permanent makeup is the best-kept secret of the world’s most beautiful women. Its ability to create beauty that is indistinguishable from a woman’s natural gifts has earned permanent makeup the distinguished award of Best Aesthetic Facial Procedure in American Health & Beauty’s 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards. The overwhelming popularity of permanent cosmetics among American Health & Beauty readers earned it a spot in the Top 5 Most Popular Procedures of 2010 in the online magazine’s annual survey of best surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Other cosmetic procedures chosen as top beauty performers were SmartLipo, CoolSculpting, Thermage and Botox.
The popularity of permanent cosmetics is founded in its unique transformative power to improve and enhance a woman’s natural beauty around the clock. The time-saving secret of high-powered women who exude a perpetual aura of perfection, permanent makeup ensures that a woman’s appearance is always fresh, beautiful and flawless whether she’s making a presentation in the board room or dancing the night away. Permanent makeup allows women to move through the day — and night — with complete confidence, secure in the knowledge that they always look their best.
The key to indiscernible permanent cosmetics that enhance personal beauty to maximum effect lies in the artistry and technical skill of the permanent makeup artist. The women of Earth were created using a richly varied color palette. Our skin comes in many shades of brown, black, white and olive with each skin tone reflecting color differently. In the hands of a skilled and knowledgeable expert, permanent makeup can enhance the natural features of every woman, but it takes an artist to achieve the beautiful results you seek, particularly if you are a woman of color.
The key to successful permanent makeup for women of any nationality or ethnicity lies in the color matching and pigment blending expertise of the permanent cosmetics artist. Your unique skin tone provides the canvas on which the permanent makeup artist “paints.” Each individual’s skin tone provides a different background shade against which the colored pigments are blended and layered.
To achieve beautiful results, your permanent makeup artist must understand how the interplay of color and light create subtle color changes when different hues are mixed. A professional artist, Melany Whitney is a master at selecting and blending colors to complement the skin tone of women of every nationality and ethnicity. Her artistry in the application of permanent cosmetics for women of color has earned Melany an exceptional reputation with the international community.

When Aol News decided to do an article on nipple and areola restoration after breast surgery, they sought out Melany Whitney, a prominent national expert in permanent cosmetics and creator of a revolutionary three-dimensional cosmetic tattooing technique that makes breasts look completely normal and natural. In the November 12, 2010 article, Nipple Tattoos Come with Permanent Perks, Melany talks about her long-term commitment to helping breast cancer survivors recover and how she uses her unique artistic talent to make reconstructed breasts look natural.
In working with breast cancer survivors who had undergone mastectomy, Melany was struck by the importance women placed on having a normal-looking breast. Blank breast mounds were a daily reminder of their struggle with cancer, preventing them from moving forward with their lives. The absence of a natural-looking areola and nipple intensified their loss, making women feel unfeminine and incomplete.
“Ever since I saw that first woman without a ‘face’ on her breast, I knew I had to do this,” Melany told Aol News in an interview. “These tattoos give women their lives back. They can begin to put the trauma behind them and move forward with confidence again.”
Like a Renaissance master painting the human form, Melany, a professionally-trained artist, uses her vast knowledge of pigments and artistic shading to create what she calls “the illusion of protrusion.” The results delight her permanent cosmetics clients. “I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing my life.” Maria M
Certainly each of us has a unique inner beauty that infuses our personality and view of life. But people who say beauty is only skin deep fail to recognize the critical role our physical beauty plays in defining our identity, not just to others but to ourselves. When we look into the mirror, our satisfaction or disappointment with the face that gazes back can make us feel happy and confident or embarrassed and self-conscious. When we feel beautiful, we’re on top of the world and feel like we can accomplish anything. If we feel ugly, damaged or ashamed of our appearance, we want to crawl away and hide from the world. The power of beauty to influence our personal identity reaches far below the skin’s surface to pierce our very soul.
Permanent cosmetics can be a life-changing experience. Women and men who have turned to Melany Whitney to create beauty where they felt none existed call her a “miracle worker” and describe their experience at the Whitney Center for Permanent Cosmetics as “magical.” When asked to rate their permanent cosmetics experience, clients consistently gave Melany 5-star ratings in artistic or aesthetic sense, commitment to personal beauty perfection, technical expertise in permanent cosmetics, communication and rapport, and sensitivity and responsiveness.
“Melany is truly a skillfully gifted artist. Her work is subtle perfection. My friends still haven’t figured out why I look so wonderful!” Annette M

The popularity of permanent cosmetics has enticed many new players into the field. A number of spas, beauty salons and tattoo parlors have begun adding permanent makeup or cosmetic tattooing to their list of services. What customers may not realize is that there’s a world of difference between having your nails done or your eyebrows waxed and having your face permanently enhanced. While many people may be performing permanent cosmetics, they are not equally skilled; a harsh reality that some customers discover too late, after the damage is done. In the field of permanent makeup, successful results depend, certainly, on the provider’s training, skill and experience; but it is the elusive gift of artistic talent and vision that elevates permanent cosmetics to an art form with your face the artist’s canvass.
It is her prodigious artistic talent coupled with years of exacting technical education and experience that have earned Melany Whitney national recognition as “the Voice of Permanent Makeup” — and the devotion of her satisfied clients. Permanent cosmetics clients give Melany a 5-star rating across the board in artistic or aesthetic sense, commitment to personal beauty perfection, technical expertise, communication and rapport with clients, and sensitivity and responsiveness to client concerns.
