Summer is officially here and it’s time to think about ways to get gorgeous that won’t leave you feeling like you’re face is melting away in the hot sun. Remembert these three tips when thinking about your summer time beauty regimen.
Summer Beauty Tip # 1
With all the swimming and sweating you’ll be doing, wearing water proof mascara might seem like a no brainer, but try to avoid it as much as possible. Some eye doctors report that water proof mascara could irritate eyes and leave residue that can build up for weeks, even with regular showers. For easy summer beauty, you might want to instead try permanent lash enhancement, which is water proof and irritation free.
Summer Beauty Tip # 2
Summer is one season where women need to be ready for several different types of occasions. Some days might take you directly from work to the beach and then to a formal evening party. To be sure you’re always prepared, try carrying at least two different shades of lip gloss with you, one neutral for professional and casual affairs, and one pop of color in time of celebration.
Summer Beauty Tip # 3
Summer is a great time to think about what permanent cosmetics might help make your life easier! Permanent cosmetics will not be affected by the heat and hot sun. Permanent lip color, permanent brows, and permanent eyeliner are all ways to look great at the beach, literally, without even trying.

Summer is finally here and it’s time to simplify your makeup routine for the season! Use these simple tips for lightening up your look this summer and making your life a little easier!
- Consider using a primer. Primer acts as a base for your foundation, smoothing over any imperfections and allowing your foundation, blush, and other skin cosmetics to go on easily and appear flawless. Women often skip out on the primer. When using a heavy foundation, a lack of primer might go unnoticed, but in the summer months, when foundation is often lighter, a primer can really help to effortlessly cover any flaws.
- Lighten up your foundation. We’re not talking about lightening up the color of your foundation, but rather the thickness. When the weather is hot, the last think you’ll want is to feel like you’re suffocating in thick layers of makeup. Try using a tinted moisturizer instead of a heavy foundation.
- Try using bronzer. Tan makeup might sometimes look out of place during the cooler months, but summer is an excellent time to experiment with bronzers. They are a great, healthy, way to get a sun kissed glow without the damaging effects of the sun.
- Go for a natural look. Summer is known as a time to be easy, breezy, and care-free. The natural makeup look lends itself well to summer days. Do your makeup in such a way that flaws are covered and features are highlighted, yet makeup is undetectable. Permanent cosmetics are a great way to get the natural look year round without having to do the work!

Heidi Klum
Summer travel means makeup needs to be fast, easy and portable. You want to look great when you travel during the summer, but who wants to spend their vacation in front of a makeup mirror when you could be splashing in the sun and surf? Hot, humid summer days invite a minimalist approach to makeup. Less makeup means fewer touch ups to control sweat and shine. Then there’s the whole space issue. When you’re trying to avoid those hefty baggage check-in fees, packing light becomes an art form. Every inch of space in your carry-on becomes precious. Who wants to choose between a bulging makeup bag and those to-die-for sandals? Pare down your makeup bag and pack both!
So what’s the absolute minimum amount of makeup you can comfortably get away with? Women who have artistically-applied permanent makeup need only pack a moisturizer with sunscreen and some lip gloss. When you wear permanent cosmetics, life is just that simple. The ultimate minimalist makeup, permanent makeup ensures that you look utterly fabulous whether you’re tanning on the beach, going for a dip in the ocean, sweating during spinning class or sipping margaritas by the pool.
Without permanent makeup, you’ll need to add a few items to your makeup kit. When model Heidi Klum travels, she packs only the bare necessities: sunscreen, concealer, gloss, lipstick and mascara. The rest of us would probably add foundation, powder, eyeliner and blush. Without permanent makeup, it’s hard to keep your makeup bag from bulging.

Summer Makeup
Sizzling hot summer days are just around the corner. Keeping your makeup extra-light and easy will banish sweaty rivulets and keep you looking fresh and cool while you enjoy summer’s many outdoor activities. The trick to keeping makeup light is to choose multi-use beauty products. Keep these cosmetics in your summer makeup bag:
- Tinted moisturizers with added sun screen provide light, all-over cosmetic coverage that hydrates skin, nourishes it with antioxidants and blocks skin-damaging UV rays.
- Deeply pigmented cream stains in pinks, roses or bronzes give a sexy pucker to lips, a rosy glow to cheeks and act as a long-lasting eye shadow when applied to eyelids.
- To camouflage dark under-eye circles and the occasional annoying blemish, choose sheer, creamy concealers that brush on with a sponge applicator. These super light-weight concealers make great primers under eye makeup too and will give your shadow longer staying power.
- Tame humid hair frizzies with a protective hair gloss serum made to protect hair from the heat of dryers, curlers and irons. These products hydrate hair and will give your tresses extra shine.
Of course, for the ultimate light-weight, no-fuss, always-perfect, sweat-proof makeup, permanent makeup is the best choice. Just moisturize and you’re ready to go! When you wear artistically applied permanent makeup, you can move through hot summer days with confidence knowing you always look your best.

Looking cool and beautiful can be a trick when summer heat and humidity begin to climb, the sweat starts to trickle and your makeup threatens to slide down your face. These summer makeup tips will help you maintain your fabulous look even when the temperature soars:
- Stay hydrated. The human body is 60% water so carry a water bottle in your bag and sip away to keep skin plumped and moist.
- Moisturize at least twice a day with a moisturizer containing SPF 15 to 30 sunscreen to protect your face from the damaging ultra-violet rays.
- Summer makeup should be applied with a light touch. Go with a lightweight foundation and powder. Silicone formulas won’t melt when temperatures heat up.
- Use a lightweight oil-free primer under foundation to help base and blush last longer. You only need a pea-sized drop for your whole face and won’t even feel that extra layer.
- Instead of powder blushes, try a sheer cream, liquid or gel blush. Powders cake in the heat and humidity, but gels and creams soak into skin.
- Draw attention to eyes and lips with bright summer colors like peachy oranges and pale rosy pinks. Always use waterproof mascara.
- Want to look fabulous no matter how hot it gets? Switch to permanent makeup for a summer look that’s beautiful and carefree.
